We meet on the last Thursday of each month. Films start at 8.30pm.

As lifelong Laurel and Hardy fans we decided to see if there was any call for a Tent in Hyde. In late 2004 we ran a trial night that went very well with over 30 people attending. Further nights in 2005 were also successful. An article in the local paper brought us more publicity.

We then applied to become an official Sons Of The Desert Tent and were given our Charter on 18th May 2006.

Charter and Constitution.

Anyone is welcome to come along. Fantastic Real Ale and a good laugh is guaranteed! We do not have a membership fee. We prefer to keep things simple.... no comments please! We are a non-profit group. On meeting nights we ask a donation of £1 be placed in the bowler hat at the door. This goes towards running costs and putting on events. We donate to charity throughout the year and organise charity fundraising activities.
