Brewing up a Laughter Tonic!

A new Laurel and Hardy appreciation society has been set up at the Cheshire Ring pub on Manchester Road in Hyde. The Sailors' Beware 'tent', named in traditional style after one of the duo's films and in recognition of the venues nautical links with the Cheshire Ring canal, meets on the last Thursday of the month. Landlord of the Beartown Brewery pub, Wayne Taylor says, 'Laurel and Hardy slapstick and a glass of real ale is a great combination. Laughter is a tonic and the regulars always leave with a smile on their face after a great night'.

Films start at 8.30 and there is usually a quiz to add to the fun.
